What you may or may not know is that Jodina is not only on the radio, but she does voice-over, promos, commercials, acting, and runs her own production company. She is quite the talent.

It was a pleasure to work with Jodina to get her website built. We ended up going with a WordPress platform with a few extra thrown in. We linked to the videos from her YouTube channel with some neat little Javascript animated boxes. We also added some flash players for her voice-over demos. The website design turned out really great.

Apple CEO Tim Cook unveiled the IPhone 4S this morning. This also came with the disappointing news that the Iphone 5 will not be released until 2012. This is somewhat of a let down, but I have to admit that it won’t stop me from getting my grubby hands on a new shiny Iphone 4S ASAP. The official release date for pre-orders is October 7th, 2011 and will be released on carriers AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint. That being said let’s go over some of the new and exciting hardware features.

Iphone 4S Hardware Upgrades

1. A5 Dual-Core Processor – The 1GHz A5 dual-core processor was introduced with the Ipad 2. It’s a bad mamajama and will effectively double the Iphones processing speed. It’s disappointing that the device was not completely redesigned, but with this feature alone being added to the Iphone 4S makes the product seem worth the upgrade.
2. 8 MP Camera – The Iphone 4S will feature an 8 MP camera. This is a pretty huge improvement over the 5MP camera in the Iphone 4. If you haven’t seen the quality of the Iphone 4’s camera then let me tell you it’s impressive. With 3MP’s more of resolution I am guessing the Iphone 4S is going to be outstanding.
3. 1080P Video Capability – Being able to shoot vivid 1080P HD video from your phone is really amazing. We will have to see if the quality compares to traditional 1080P Video Cameras, but knowing Apple it will probably come close. The video upgrade also includes a new video stabilization feature.
4. Storage Capacity – Apple is offering three storage capacity options for the new Iphone 4S. It will feature a 16GB for $199, 32GB for $299, or 64GB for $399. The dramatic increase in capacity is most likely due to the upgrades to an 8MP camera and 1080P video. This makes sense and is really going to be needed for all of the photo addicts of the world.
5. Battery Life – The technology of mobile device batteries continues to improve and the battery on new Iphone 4S is no different. The device boasts 8 hours of talk time vs. the Iphone 4’s 6 hours 17 minutes of talk time. With all of the new features and upgrades I am guessing it’s going to need the added juice.

Iphone 4S Software Upgrades

The new Iphone 4S is going to have a myriad of new features that will come in the form of the IOS 5 software upgrade. Most notably is the new Siri feature. This is a voice activation feature that seems straight out of IRobot. Siri not only understands what you say, it knows what you mean. It figures out the right apps to use to find the right answer. Then, just like a personal assistant, it answers you. This feature is only software upgrade said to be exclusively available on the new Iphone 4S and not the Iphone 4. Not to worry though Iphone 4 users, my guess is some 13 year old hacker will figure out a way around this through a jailbreak, coming soon via a torrent site near you.

There are myriad of other software features being added with IOS 5. The rest of the upgrades will also be available on the old Iphone 4, so are not really relevant to this post. If you want to read more about IOS 5 and the Iphone 4S you can visit Apples website at the link below
